We meet you at the car, wherever it is sitting, and tell you what you are actually about to buy. A couple of hundred dollars spent here regularly saves thousands.

The single best use of a mobile mechanic is a pre-purchase inspection. A private seller will not drive their car to a shop for you, and a dealer would rather you did not ask. We simply go to the car. Dealer lot in Orlando, a driveway in St. Cloud, a Facebook Marketplace meetup in Kissimmee, we inspect it there and you get an honest answer before any money moves.
This state moves a large number of water-damaged vehicles, and a cleaned-up flood car can look excellent in photographs. We pull up carpet edges and spare tire wells, look for silt lines and rust in places that should never be wet, check for a musty or heavily perfumed interior, and look at connectors under the dash for corrosion. A flood car is not a negotiation, it is a walk away, and we will say so.
A written report in plain English, with photographs, sorted into three buckets: what is wrong now, what will need money within a year, and what is simply age-appropriate wear. Where there is a fault, you get our estimate of what it costs to fix, which is exactly the number you want in your hand while you negotiate. Sometimes the report says the car is good and you should buy it. That is a useful answer too.
Once it is yours, the sensible first move is a baseline service so you know where you stand: a fresh oil change, a battery test, and attention to whatever the inspection flagged, whether that is brakes or suspension. We come to you for that too.
A reputable one will, and many expect it. If a seller refuses an independent inspection, that refusal is itself the most useful piece of information you will get that day.
Usually 60 to 90 minutes on site. You get a verbal summary before we leave and the written report with photos the same day.
No. Plenty of our customers are buying from out of town and never see the car until it is theirs. Give us the address and the seller's contact, and we will handle it and send the report.
We can inspect anything we are given legitimate access to. Auction rules vary on whether and when a buyer's mechanic is allowed on the lot, so check their policy first.
Then you have a number to negotiate with, or a reason to walk. Either outcome is worth far more than the inspection cost.
